I have an early history as a classical oboist which involved not only playing music, but also teaching it. Along the years of my time as a cabinetmaker, a friend asked if I had ever considered teaching woodworking as well. She felt that so many women might want to learn these skills …….from another woman. And so it began as an experiment through high school adult education classes. And since 1998, I’ve been running my own woodworking school here at my studio in Westminster West, Vermont. The energy and enthusiasm of the women who have come here to learn continues to sustain my own validation of empowerment as I facilitate an environment for others.
